OUSD announces Ernesto Gonzalez-Polanco of OHS as Employee of the Year 2015

Oceanside High School’s Community Advisor, Ernesto Gonzalez-Polanco has been named Employee of the Year 2015 by Oceanside High School Unified School District Board.  Polanco has been with the Oceanside school district 25 years.  Superintendent Duane Coleman paid a surprise visit to Polanco at the high school to announce his award.

Along with Polanco, Ted Chavez, an 18-year veteran of the district also receive the Employee of the Year 2015 award, he is the lead custodian at San Luis Rey Elementary School.

Tiffany Ortega and Lisa Boyster have been selected as Teachers of the Year for 2015 by the school board.  Ortega teaches fourth grade at Del Rio Elementary School and has been with the district for 19 years. Boyster, who has taught in the district for 16 years, teaches science and English language development at King Middle School. 

The OUSD Board of Education and the Oceanside High School Foundation would like to congratulate each of these outstanding honorees for the work they contribute in helping to change the lives of numerous students and families in Oceanside.
