Alexander stated that during his last 2 years of high school, he benefitted from the REACH Program at Balderama Park. REACH is a Vista Community Clinic Program aimed at providing safe alternative activities for youth. During his junior year, REACH assisted him with homework; while in his senior year, they helped ensure that all college requirements were completed and on time. REACH also enabled him to give back to his community by providing him volunteer opportunities, which included numerous events at Balderama Park. Those opportunities included setting up and cleaning up for the annual Dia del Nino event; helping clean-up for numerous other community events which included honoring Oceanside Police and Firefighters by serving them food at a local church. Alexander is grateful for the positive influence REACH has provided him and other youth in Eastside, Oceanside and continues to participate in the program.
GOOD LUCK IN COLLEGE, ALEXANDER! PIRATE PRIDE!
