Legendary skateboard photographer J. Grant Brittain to visit Oceanside High

J. Grant Brittain has been shooting photos of skateboarders skateboarding since 1979 and this legendary international photographer will be visiting the OHS campus on April 25.

He is the former photo editor of Transworld Skateboarding Magazine and Skateboard Magazine. In 2014, Grant was named one of the most influential skate photographers in the world.  He has photographed top names in skateboarding such as Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, Bob Burnquist, Chris Miller, Danny Way, Andy MacDonald, Buddy Lasek, Willie Santos and Mike McGill to name just a few.

Grant will present some of his famous award winning skateboard photography at OHS Pirate Pics in the Oceanside High Digital Studio at 2:30pm on Tuesday. All students and teachers are welcome to attend this informational lecture.

The Pirate Pics group will then go to Prince Skate Park at 3:30pm where Grant will set up his professional lighting gear, show students how he shoots his world-renowned skateboard photos, and work with the aspiring student photographers to apply photography skills to shots they take of the skateboarders in action shots.  For the off-campus photoshoot, no transportation is provided. Also, for all students, a Parent Permission Field Trip Form is required for the off campus portion of this event.
Maximum students permitted at the photo shoot: 25 students (Pirate Pics Photographers get first priority.)

All students interested in attending the shoot must sign up at Remind.com: 9b9h7c and pick up Parent Permission Field Trip Form from Mr. Ruez.
