It’s the NCAA College Football Season and we love to cheer our Oceanside High alumni football players who are playing on the national stage for their universities!  Pirates love football!  And we love Pirates!

-In the first game of 2016, Mikah, the No.1 receiver, had four receptions with 160 yards and two TD’s against New Hampshire. Aztecs won 31-0 at the Q.

WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY

Joe Salave'aJoe Salave’a, Assistant Head Coach/D-Line at WSU.  OHS Class of 1993
– inducted in Oceanside High School Hall of Fame on Oct. 18, 2014.
-he founded the Joe Salave’a Foundation in 2001. The foundation specializes in free football clinics for youngsters in American Samoa and Hawai’i.
-instrumental recruiter for WSU football in Southern California, Hawai’i, Nevada, and Samoa
-presented OHS an NFL Golden Ball for having played in a Super Bowl, this is honoring the Super Bowl’s 50th Golden Anniversary. December 10th ceremony including Junior Seau’s Golden Ball.

Eduardo MiddletonEduardo Middleton, 6’5” 316, G – RS Senior #73 – OHS Class of 2013

  • In 2015, Eduardo started all 13 games, 12 at right guard, one game at left guard.

Jordan SmithJordan Smith, 6’3″, 264  DL – Senior#57 – Attended Oceanside High in 2010-2011 as a DE earning a varsity letter as a freshman-sophomore. Graduated from the United States Military Academy Preparatory School in 2013.

  • In 2015, started every game.

  • Played the 2014 and 2015 seasons for Southern Methodist University, Averaged 40.5 yards on 101 punts over two seasons with a long of 60 yards
