I was born and raised in Oceanside, California, where I attended Mission and Garrison Elementary Schools, Jefferson Junior High, and graduated from Oceanside High School in 1980. While growing up, I worked alongside my father at the Bauer Lumber Company, where I learned the importance of hard work and dedication—values that have guided me throughout my life. In 1985, I co-founded S & R Towing with my friend Steve Dugan. What began as a small operation with a single truck has grown over the past 40 years into a company with over 50 trucks and 9 locations, proudly serving communities throughout the region.

In 1989, I married Lisa D’Andrea (also an OHS graduate), and together we raised three sons—Jeremy, Travis, and Cody. All three achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and today, two of them work alongside me at S & R Towing, continuing our family legacy. Giving back to the community has always been a priority for me. Over the years, I have donated trucks for Oceanside’s 4th of July parades, supported local high school auto shop programs at Oceanside and El Camino, and dedicated time to coaching Little League. While involved with Little League, I helped install electronic scoreboards and played a key role in the remodeling of the snack bar. I have also remained active in Scouting, supporting the next generation of leaders.  I am proud of the business we have built, the family we have raised, and the city we continue to serve.
