Kimberly is a four-year varsity student-athlete for cross-country and track. Through the experience of being on the first women’s championship track team, she has learned to push through many hardships and difficulties, which qualified her for the State Championships. Not only does Kimberly excel on in athletics, she stands out in the classroom as well, maintaining a high grade point average, succeeding in her College Prep as well as her Advance Placement classes. She plans to continue her post-secondary education and pursue a degree in Computer Science.
Vanesa Castellon Elias

Vanesa has been very active in school and in her community—from the OHS Marching Band, the Asian American Culture club, the Junior Civitan club, to helping at a local elementary school—through these activities, she has been able to cultivate her leadership skills. After graduation, she plans to attend a university and major in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business. Along with the leadership skills Vanesa has acquired, she has also maintained high grades in her Advanced Placement classes. She is certainly a young woman who will be successful in her life’s endeavors.

Tessa’s initial post-secondary plans are to attend Orange Coast Community College and then transfer to a university to pursue a degree as a diagnostic medical sonographer to become an ultrasound technician. Tessa faces each day with a smile on her face and a cheerful word to everyone she encounters. She is a delight to have in class and teachers appreciate her academic diligence and perseverance. She has earned an impressive grade point average of over a 4.0 in her academic classes. With all the assets Tessa encompasses, she will no doubt accomplish her career and life goals. Tessa will attend Orange Coast College in the fall and then transfer to a university.
Kylee Nance

Kylee is an exceptional student, one that is appreciated by all of her teachers. Highly gifted in math, she is one of the top AP Calculus students at OHS. She continuously performs at the highest level, striving to be the best that she can be and gladly accepts challenges. She quickly grasps new material and combines that with a great work ethic and a persistent attitude to get better. She excels not only in the classroom but is involved in numerous extra-curricular activities as well. With her involvement in different clubs and organizations, she strives to improve her school and community. Kyle will attend UC Berkeley in the fall.
Natalie Tejeda

Natalie possesses a strong intrinsic desire to succeed. Her work ethic is surpassed by none and has helped her achieve many goals throughout her academic career. Natalie’s accomplishments range from maintaining a high grade point average, becoming a member of the Scholars for Public Service Club and successfully completing Advanced Placement Psychology with a passing score on the national exam. She is a member of the OHS Marching Band and donates her time helping the Wounded Warriors Organization. She will attend the University of Maine and pursue a major in Marine Sciences or the Biochemistry field.
Alondra Valdez Morales
Val Alley Health Careers Academy Scholarship
Alondra had been a dynamic student in the OHS Health Careers Academy all four years of high school. This has confirmed her desire to pursue a career in nursing. Within the HCA, she has taken on leadership roles, serving as President, that have culminated in over 100 hours of community service, and internships at the US Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton and at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla. Alondra plans to attend the nursing program at MiraCosta College and then continue on with the career goal of becoming a pediatric intensive care nurse.
Allegra Riboni
Mickey Stolzoff Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Allegra comes highly recommended by the OHS Health Careers Academy teachers. As a HCA student for four years, she has taken on many responsibilities and leadership roles within the program. When her father was in the hospital, Allegra saw the valuable role nurses played with the care of their patients, this was when she knew that was her life’s goal. Her ultimate career objective is to become a nurse anesthetist.
