Having a deep desire to become a doctor early in life, Shannon was eager to enroll in the OHS Health Careers Academy. In these classes she has participated in hands-on experiences that have only heightened her desires to help people. It has also helped her to focus on wanting to pursue a degree in nursing to work in a neonatal intensive care unit.
